Fungus Parasolus

Taken on the same morning as the Sparkling Microcosm. Somehow this little parasol had survived the lawnmower and was standing tall and proud above the surrounding grass, the sun stretching its fingers to touch it. Oh, and despite the title I'm not sure if this is a mushroom at all. Suggestions appreciated!
