A Fitting Reward

2007-10-03 23:19:35

After another warm summer's day spent at the office a sunset like this is a fitting reward. Now that the days are getting shorter the sun will soon be leaving our sky before I am leaving the office. You may have guessed already that I am not looking forward to the coming winter.

  • Nature's first green is gold,
    Her hardest hue to hold.
    Her early leaf's a flower;
    But only so an hour.
    Then leaf subsides to leaf.
    So Eden sank to grief,
    So dawn goes down to day.
    Nothing gold can stay.

    Poem lyrics of Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost.
