Unedited Referential Lineup

This is a reference to this image taken about a year ago. The 'Outsider' was taken with my old Canon Powershot and heavily edited. My significant other proposed, and I am inclined to agree, that I should reduce my image editing. The subject of image editing is a highly disputed subject in the photosphere; I think editing is O.K. if it serves a purpose and is not done as an end in itself. So here's an unedited image (apart from a light crop) taken with the new Olympus E520 in the same location as last years 'Outsider'.

(The pictures in last week's leaf series were only lightly adjusted for sharpness, contrast and of course the square crop. Color and lighting, including the black background, have not been edited).
