I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride it where I like
(Queen - Bicycle Race)
Although the picture and song may suggest otherwise, this time it is documenting a bad day because SOMEBODY STOLE MY BIKE!
[Beware: rant ahead! Here's a groove and a good day, if you prefer something else right now.]
It's true, although I myself cannot really believe it: Yesterday (or the day before) somebody stole my bike! It wasn't in good shape, it didn't look all that good, the transmission didn't work right, there was rust gathering on more than one screw, it was locked and still
some
idiot
stole
my bike.
It was the third (!) time that my bike was stolen. The other two never showed up again and I have no illusions about this one coming back to me.
To finish my day, another (old) guy was complaining about me riding my wife's (!) bike on the sidewalk. He may have been right. And although I was going real slow and there was nobody, not even him, near me (and my wife's bike), I probably should have used the road. For the remaining 20 meters of the street.
But he had no f%=$#! reason too call me "Arsch" ( vulg. bavarian for "asshole", a word I never thought I'd put on this blog ). What ensued was me and him shouting at each other various ugly words and accusations. In the end we both went our way, nobody the wiser and nobody winning or loosing (at least from my point of view).
All that was left for me then was a raised heart rate and bad feeling in my guts.
That was my day and all that because I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like.
